Mrs. Elizabeth Katherine Haugen

Mrs. Elizabeth Katherine Haugen, 89, of Acworth, formerly of Ellijay, died  Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021.

She was born Oct. 30, 1931, to the late John Thomas and Luella Catherine (Vatter) Greenall in Blairsville, Pa. She was an elementary school teacher for the Cobb County School System until her retirement. She was a member of  Hope Lutheran Church and an avid quilter with the local quilting guild in Ellijay.

She is preceded in death by brother, John Thomas Greenall II.

She is survived by husband of 68 years, Vernon Robert Haugen, of Kennesaw; children and spouses, Linda and Robert Fyfe, of Kennesaw, Paul and Stephanie Haugen, of Kennesaw; grandsons, Robert John Fyfe IV, John Thomas Haugen, Evan Thomas Fyfe and David Conner Haugen; great-grandson, Cooper Vernon Haugen, extended family, the staff of Celebration Village and Agape Hospice.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, from the Hope Lutheran Church in Ellijay with Pastor David Smedley officiating.

Inurnment will follow in the Hope Lutheran Church Columbarium.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, at the Hope Lutheran Church from 2 p.m. until the service at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a local animal shelter of your choice in memory of Mrs. Haugen.
