Athena Joette Bruner

Athena Joette Bruner passed Oct. 11, 2021 at home. She worked in property management in Atlanta 20 some years.

She was born in Ellijay April 18, 1956 to Burdy Cleveland Parks and Joann Thomas Parks.

She is preceded in death by mother and father; and brothers, Tommy Parks and Kenneth Parks.

She is survived by husband, James Bruner; son, Nathan “Nate” Bruner, of Rockford, Ill.; grandson Sage Bruner, of Rockford, Ill.; daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Anthony Cato, of Gulfport, Miss.; uncle, aunt and cousins; sister-in-law and husband, Angie and Scott Huber, of Mayesville, Tenn.; and a lot of friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
