Mrs. Bonnie Jean Watts King
Mrs. Bonnie Jean Watts King, 84, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017, at Pruitt Nursing Center in Jasper.
She was born in Goshen, N.Y., Sept. 30, 1932, to Glenn L. Watts and Clara Prichard Watts. She married Douglas R. King Dec. 4, 1955, and together they lived in various cities in New York, New Jersey, Vermont and Florida before moving to Ellijay in August 2011. She was employed as both legal and executive secretary positions during her secular careers, as well as a homemaker raising her sons.
She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses since her baptism March 16, 1955, and helped many people come to a better understanding of the Bible and a relationship with their creator. She considered it a great privilege to teach others about God’s kingdom.
She is preceded in death by husband, Douglas Raymond King.
She is survived by sister, Harriet Bundarin, of Ft. Collins, Colo.; and four sons, Glenn Watts King, of Ellijay, Timothy Joel King, of Oak Ridge, Tenn., David Jonathan King, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and Daleth Mark King of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at the Edgewater Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Oak Hill, Fla.
