Lee Roy Harper
Mr. Lee Roy Harper, 67, of Ellijay, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2018.
He was born Nov. 20, 1950, in Ellijay, to the late Cecil Pinkney and Vera Jane Newberry Harper. He was a member of Flat Branch Baptist Church and worked in the textile industry for over 40 years, retiring after 25 years with Mohawk Industries as a tufting mechanic.
He is survived by wife of 50 years, Wanda Kay Wishon Harper; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica Arminda and Junior Partin, of Ellijay; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher “Chris” and Keli Harper, of McCaysville; grandchildren, Kaylee Partin, Coby Partin and Michael Suzor; sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Scott Deal, of Ballground; brothers and sisters-in-law, Otis and Lois Harper, of Ellijay, Eldridge and Marilyn Harper, and Phillip Harper, all of Ellijay; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eugene Davis and the Rev. Franklin Harper officiating.
Music was by Martha Harper.
Interment followed in the Mt. Pleasant “Buckhorn” Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mark Harper, Junior Partin, Ronnie Wishon, Brandon Harper, Harper Pohlman and Chad Harper.
