Mr. Jerry Mavergames, 75, of Ellijay, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 12, 1941, in Atlanta to the late Jim and Virginia Clemons Maveragames. He was a member of the Good Samaritan Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by brother, Jimmy.
He is survived by wife of 55 years, Sandra; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Caroline; grandsons, Arvo and Jules, of Freiburg, Germany; son, Joel; granddaughters, Haylee, Makenzie, Zoey and Gracilyn; brother, Andy and his wife Cheryl; nephew, Brett; sister-in-law, Bonnie; nephew, Jason and wife Nikki and their sons, Jaxon and Mason; niece, Angela and husband, Kenny Wilder and their daughters, Kay Lee and Charli; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Judy and Calvin Wilson, of Ellijay; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at Southcare Funeral Home Chapel with Father Carlos Vargas and cousin, Dr. Rev. Darrell Hayes, officiating.
Music was by family and friends.
Interment followed in the Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Forest Park.
Pallbearers were Calvin Wilson, Conrad MacArther, Gary Helton, Jason Maveragames, Brett Maveragames and Randy Brown.
