Everett Titus Jr.
Mr. Everett Titus Jr., 78, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018.
He was born Sept. 28, 1939, in Point Pleasant, N.J. He worked as a police officer for the Miami Dade Police Department. He attended the New Vision Pentecostal Church and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is preceded in death by father, Everett Titus Sr.; mother, Evelyn Marie Moore; son, Everett W. “Chucky” Titus III; daughter, Cherie Carnival; and grandson, David Whitworth.
He is survived by wife, Sharon Neff Titus, of Murphy, N.C.; son and daughter in-law, Shawn and Kristi Titus, of Ellijay; daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Mac Finch, of Charleston, S.C., Shannon and Tim Pinkerton, of Murphy, N.C., Tracy Titus, of Jasper; eight grandchildren, Courtney Carnivale, Caitlin Carnivale, T.J. Pinkerton, Zac Pinkerton, Emily Campbell, Brock Titus, Railey Titus and Olivia Passaro; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Irene Wofford officiating,
Eulogy was by Tracy Titus.
Pallbearers were Brock Titus, Tim Pinkerton, Zac Pinkerton, T.J. Pinkerton, Justin White, Lee Sutton, Bobby Sutton and Jeremy Nelson.
Interment was in the Yukon Cemetery.
