Albert Walter Norris
Mr. Albert Walter Norris, 93, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018, at home.
He was born Aug. 5, 1925, in Brisco, N.Y., to the late Walter Robert Norris and Louise Marie Miller Norris. He served his country honorably in the 87th Infantry Division, U.S. Army in World War II. He retired in the health care industry as a licensed psychiatric nurse.
He is preceded in death by wife, Marie Irene Bischert Norris; son, Lynn Michael Norris; and sister, Marion Norris Klein.
He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Johnny Johnson, of Ellijay, Barbara and Jeffery Foland, of Vernon, Mich.; grandchildren and spouses, Katie and Jim Gehringer, Dr. Walker and Caitlin Foland, Bradley and Jessica Johnson and Parker and Caitlin Johnson; great-grandchildren, Lydia, William, Peter and Pearl Foland; brother and sister-in-law, Lester and Dawne Norris, of Parksville, N.Y., and several nieces and nephews.
Military memorial services were held at noon Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with the Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating.
Military graveside rites were performed by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, at the Liberty Cemetery in Liberty, N.Y.
