Mrs. Flora Plemmons Hefner
Mrs. Flora Plemmons Hefner, 100, of Ellijay, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018.
She was born May 28, 1917, in Gilmer County, to the late John and Nellie Harris Plemmons. She was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by husband, Coy Hefner; son, Billy Hefner; daughters, Janet Cantrell and Sharlene Ponder.
She is survived by son-in-law, Randall Ponder, of Ellijay; daughter-in-law, Hazel Hefner, of Talking Rock; sisters, Lily Land and Hazel Jackson, both of Ellijay; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Plemmons, of Marietta; brother-in-law, James Hefner, of Canton; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Wallace Parks officiating.
Music was by Kayla Easley.
Pallbearers were Randall Ponder, Brent Ponder, Jake Ponder, Chris Hefner, Ricky Beck and Corey Cantrell.
Interment was in the Ball Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
