B.J. Reece Orchards receives second TripAdvisor award
For the second year in a row, Ellijay’s B.J. Reece Orchards has received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.
Now in its sixth year, the achievement celebrates hospitality businesses that have earned great traveler reviews on the TripAdvisor website.
Certificate of Excellence recipients include accommodations, eateries and attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a quality customer experience.
B.J. Reece Orchards, a locally-owned and operated business in the beautiful mountains of Ellijay, is a popular destination not only for weekend getaways, but it’s also become a tradition for many families across the United States. Each fall, hundreds of local and out-of-state families visit the orchard to enjoy the scenery and pick their own apples.
“We are honored to receive the excellence award for the second year in a row and want to thank all of our amazing customers for their continued support,” said Rachel Reece, orchard owner and operating manager. “Our number one goal is to create a fun environment where families can enjoy nature together, and the TripAdvisor logo helps us spread that message.”
Established by Boyd Jackson Reece, B.J. Reece Orchards has been a family-owned and operated business since 1960.
It offers several varieties of apples and vegetables each season, along with freshly baked breads, donuts, caramel apples, jams, jellies and famous fried pies.
B.J. Reece also is the only orchard in Ellijay where families can zip line above the apple trees. Other family fun activities include: pony rides, cow milking, petting farm, scavenger hunt (corn maze), apple cannons, tractor rides and much more.
“With the Certificate of Excellence, TripAdvisor honors hospitality businesses that have consistently received strong praise and ratings from travelers,” said Heather Leisman, TripAdvisor’s vice president of industry marketing. “This recognition helps travelers identify and book properties that regularly deliver great service. TripAdvisor is proud to play this integral role in helping travelers feel more confident in their booking decisions.”
The certificate accounts for the quality, quantity and recency of reviews submitted by travelers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
