St. Petrick’s Day planning underway
The Downtown Ellijay Business and Community Association is looking for participants in this year’s St. Petrick’s Day celebration, March 17, in downtown.
Businesses, families and organizations are invited to start building parade floats, designing costumes and preparing their pets for the after-parade contests.
The Pet Parade is open to all pets on a leash — not just dogs, according to event chair Cynthia Michel.
Michel said the parade committee is also looking for arts, crafts, pet products and other family-friendly vendors.
Children’s activities are also needed, she said.
Vendor and parade applications are available at WhimZ Boutique and Pets on Main.
For more information, contact Michel at 404-617-8415 or Steve Cortes at 386-852-0830.
