Rain did not deter plein air artists

The fifth annual Plein Air: Art in the Mountains Weekend was presented by Gilmer Arts and the Gilmer Chamber June 7-9. Artists who converged on scenic locations around the county to create paintings in the open air were protected by tents and covered pavilions during the rainy weekend. According to Gilmer Arts, 36 painters from across the state participated.
