Man dead who allegedly murdered girlfriend and child
Joshua Lee Fults, accused of murder in the shooting deaths of Amber Jackson and her 3-year-old son Ethan, is dead.
Fults was pronounced dead at 6:44 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, according to Fannin County Coroner Becky Callihan, who said Fults’ death was attributed to complications from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The suspect had apparently shot himself after the March 4 shooting that claimed the mother and child, a statement from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said.
Amber and Ethan were found on the front steps of their Underwood Road residence in Morganton. Fults was on the porch of the residence.
Fults had been airlifted to Grady Hospital in Atlanta immediately after the shooting. Callihan said that on March 9 he had been placed under hospice care.
