Light Up Ellijay festivalgoers donned warm clothes and rain gear to await the tree lighting and parade late Friday afternoon and evening. The wet stuff made a brief appearance as darkness fell, but did not dampen the spirits of hundreds of people at the annual event sponsored by the Downtown Ellijay Business and Community Association.
