Freedom rings with fireworks and festivities

The streets of Ellijay were painted red, white and blue Thursday as festivalgoers donned their patriotic colors and flags to join in the celebration of America’s independence. Various activities were enjoyed in the River Street parking lot, as well as live music, a parade and fireworks display. The downtown parade entertained large crowds with creatively decorated vehicles, cyclists and patriotic costumes.
