Winners of county races in the November general election were sworn in
at the Gilmer County Courthouse Tuesday, Dec. 18. Above, probate judge
Anita Mullins, right, and county clerk Diana Buttram, center, administer
an oath of office to incoming post one county commissioner Randy Bell.
Also sworn in Dec. 18 were incumbent sheriff Stacy Nicholson, new tax commissioner Becky Marshall,
incumbent magistrate judge Roger Kincaid, incumbent assistant magistrate
Joe Murphy, incumbent court clerk Glenda Sue Johnson, incumbent coroner
Jerry Hensley, incumbent deputy coroner Melissa Waddell and new
magistrate court clerk Jamie Gibbs. Superior court judge Roger Bradley,
probate judge Mullins and county surveyor Scott Chastain, as well as
school board members Jim Parmer, James Waters and Angela Thomas, were
scheduled to take their oaths of office the following week.
