William Russell Strawser
Mr. William Russell Strawser, 76, of Chicago, Ill., died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016.
He was married in Elkhart, Ind., Aug. 6, 1960. He had a financial background in banking and insurance industries. He studied at Indiana University and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He successfully started two businesses, a bank in Elkhart, Ind., and his own insurance agency in Georgia. He served a brief stint in the Army. His successes in business were well recognized throughout his career.
He is preceded in death by father, Russell Emory Strawser and mother, Kathryn W. Forrest Strawser; and son, Eric William Strawser in 1968.
He is survived by wife of 54 years, Janice A. Wright Strawser; daughter, Monica Strawser Malate, of Chicago, Ill.; son, Scott William Strawser, of Acworth; son-in-law, Francisco T. Malate; four grandchildren, Brendan Strawser, Kathryn Malate, Rebecca Strawser and Max Malate; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia S. Strawser and Ret. General Vernon L. Conner, of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.
Memorial services will be held Feb. 27, in Chicago.
