Mrs. Sue Ann Burnette Davis, 88, died Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Sonshine Manner in Ellijay.

She was born Aug. 3, 1933, in Talking Rock.

She grew up in Ellijay but moved to Cobb County and lived there for most of her life.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was employed by the Berkely Pump Company in Atlanta for 19 years.

She and her husband (Pete) were well-known on Nottley Lake by friends, family where they entertained and blessed family and friends who came to see them at their cabin on the lake.  She was a seamstress, painter and fantastic cook.  She was known for cooking catfish, deer barbecue and many other great dishes.

She was a member of King Spring Baptist Church Smyrna. She will be missed by so many.

She is preceded in death by husband of 66 years, Howard C. (Pete) Davis.

She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Jeff Davis and Scotty (Kathy) Davis; grandchildren and spouses, Jeffery and Carrie Davis, Josh and Katie Davis, Jarrett and Brittany Davis, Bradley and Leslie Davis, Brett and Joy Davis, Brian and Bethany Davis, Brittany and Chris Tidwell; sister, Maxine Charles; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2022, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the family conducting the service.

Interment was in the Yukon Cemetery.
