Ronald ‘Bodie’ McCollum

Mr. Ronald “Bodie” McCollum, 36, of Ellijay, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2019.

He was born July 23, 1983, in Gilmer County to the late Ronald Lamar McCollum Jr. and Mary Ruth Mayfield. 

He worked for Southside Express Lube and was a member of Pine Crest Baptist Church in McDonough.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bernice Emma Davis, Monteal and Eugene Mayfield.

He is survived by sisters and brother in-law, Lori and James Grant, of Chatsworth, Stephanie McCollum, of Cherry Log; partner, Kassie Little, of Ellijay; stepchildren, Dalton Beavers and Desiree Beavers; special cousin, Corey Mayfield; uncles, Lonnie Fowler and Ricky Mayfield, both of Ellijay; aunt, Karen Slepp, of Ellijay; nephew, Jay Card; nieces, Briana Lawson and Kirsten Lee; and several other cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, from Daily Walk Ministries Church, 443 Pleasant Grove Road, Ellijay.

The family will meet with friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to United Community Bank (Tina Wright) in memory of Bodie McCollum to
help with funeral expenses.
