Robert Lauritz Low
Mr. Robert Lauritz Low, of Ellijay, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2017.
He was born Nov. 12, 1941, in the Panama Canal Zone, served in the Army for two years, then graduated from UGA with a BBA, and had a long career with the State of Georgia Child Support Recovery Office.
Robert was a member of Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity and the Demosthenian Literary Society. He was a volunteer first-aid instructor with the Red Cross for many years, was active in the Sierra Club and American Legion and took his Happy Tails Therapy Dogs to hospitals, including the VA Hospital, schools, nursing homes and community events.
He is survived by wife, Ann Hallyburton Low; daughter, Meagan Low; sister, Helen Partridge; brother, Jim Low; in-laws; nieces, nephews and their children.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. (coffee at 10 a.m., luncheon following) at Mountain Light Unitarian Universalist Church, 2503 Tails Creek Road, Ellijay.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials can be made to the Sierra Club or to the charity of your choice.
