Pastor Euel Reece, 88, of Ellijay, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 23, 1933, in Gilmer County, to the late Gertrude Farist and Angus Morrison Reece. He was a minister and missionary for 62 years and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Jasper.

He is preceded in death by wife, Virgie Richards Reece.

He is survived by daughters, Sherri (Jeff) Walls, of Ellijay, Donna (Steve) Tidmore, of Douglasville, and Beverly (Cameron) Daniell, of Ellijay; foster son, Danny Madden; brothers, Herman Reece, of Eatonton and Harold Reece, of Ellijay; sisters, Emma (Frank) Miller, of Roswell and Brenda (Ralph) Hull, of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Jennifer and Donnie Green, Erik and Kayla Walls, Stephanie Walls-Nadeau, Lee and Emily Walls, Tiffany and Charlie Campbell, Whitney Lank, Melissa and Ricky Mount, Jessica and David Watson, Drake and Erica Daniell, Abigail Daniell, Reece and Emily Daniell, and Liam Jamin Daniell; great-grandchildren, Annalyn, Ella Kate, Ava, Kinley, Joshua, Jackson, Elliana, Greyson, Amelia, Makenna, Adaleigh, Levi, Brantlee, Luke, Isla, John, Hank, Will, Kaylee and Lettie; special friends, Wayne and Teddy Webb, Larry and Rachel Warren, Steve and Carole Montgomery, Lee and Margie Faye and Regina and Reggie Mathis; almost family, Evert and Elise Westerveld and LaDonna and David Simpson; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Webb, Pastor Ben Mock, Pastor Tim Smith, Pastor Luke Logan and Evert Westerveld officiating.

Interment will follow in Yukon Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Erik Walls, Lee Walls, Drake Daniell, Reece Daniell, Jamin Daniell, Donnie Green, Charlie Campbell, Ricky Mount and David Watson.
