Mrs. Mary H. Weaver
Mrs. Mary H. Weaver, 79, of Ellijay, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016.
She was born Nov. 12, 1936, in Webster Springs, W. Va., to the late Harley and Avis McCray Lowther.
She worked as a lunchroom lady at Oakland Elementary, and was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by brothers, Richard Lowther, Henry Lowther and Lynn Lowther.
She is survived by husband, Leon Weaver; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Kimberly Weaver, Bill and Lisa Weaver, all of Ellijay; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Tommy Smith, of Ellijay; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Obrey and Phillip Lowther, of Ohio, Ralph and Diane Lowther, of Kentucky.; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Capps, of Maryland, Margie and Rex Gillespie, of Pennslyvania, Almonta Markwood, of Ohio, Jane Buck, of Ellijay; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, from the Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. Russell Burt, the Rev. Wallace Parks and the Rev. Calvin Grogan officiating.
Music was by the church choir.
Pallbearers were Brad Stewart, Buster Stover, Branson Chastain, Tommy Pankey, Joe Mabry and Brady Banks.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
