Mrs. Garlene Vick Buckner

Mrs. Garlene Vick Buckner, 58, of Ellijay, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019.

She was born May 21, 1961, in Gilmer County to the late Garvin Vick and Marlene Trammell Hendrix. She worked as an operator for Engineered Floors of Dalton and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by husband, Jimmy Buckner; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Stacey Buckner, Ellijay; brothers and sister-in-law, Ashley Cordell, of Ellijay, Alan and Dondra Hendrix, of Calhoun; sisters, Tammy Richards, of Ellijay, Brenda Hendrix, of Ranger; grandchildren, Haley Buckner, Cody Buckner, Emmie Buckner, Olivia Buckner and Erika Winkler; great-grandchildren, Jaley Pruett and Jayden Pruett.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Lonnie Wright and the Rev. Billy Dotson officiating.  Music was by Teresa Chastain.

Pallbearers were Cody Buckner, Owen Cochran, Ted Duvall, Jonathan Merrell, James Pruett and Clay Vick. 

Interment was in the Berean Church Cemetery.

Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
