Mrs. Debbie Sue Hightower, 76, of Talking Rock, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2019.

She was born Dec. 25, 1942, in Polk County, Tenn., to the late Ernest and Etta Bruce Patterson. 

She was retired from Gold-Kist and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by sons, Dennis Stiles and Roger Stiles; and grandson, Chad Stiles.

She is survived by children and spouses, Brenda Sue and Larry Kirkland, of Ellijay,  Diane and Henry Gahn, of Blue Ridge, Audrey and Shane Fossett, of Ellijay, Tamara and Mitchell Lee, of Ranger, Tommy Stiles, of Blue Ridge, Timothy and Jessica Weaver, of Jasper, Russell Weaver, of Dalton, Jason and Missy Hightower, of Chatsworth; 25 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, David and Virginia Patterson, of Calhoun, Danny Patterson, of Etowah, Tenn.,  Paul Patterson, of Sevierville, Tenn., Eldon Patterson, of Ellijay; sisters and brother-in-law, Laura McClure, of Ranger, Corrine and Tommy Parris, of Talking Rock.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Timms officiating.

Pallbearers were Henry Gahn, Timothy Weaver, Jason Hightower, Stephens Childers, Mitchell Lee, Chad Weaver, Charles Kirby and Aaron Weaver. 

Interment was in the Yukon Cemetery.
