Minnie Lee Stafford Nicholson

Mrs. Minnie Lee Stafford Nicholson died Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper. She was born June 26, 1933, in Pickens County to the late Joseph Stafford and Yula Gibson Stafford.

She was a carpet mender for Stratton Mills and a member of Corrinth Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by husband, Willie Nicholson; daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Earnest Ledford; and infant son, Joseph William Nicholson.

She is survived by children and spouses, Larry and Freddie Nicholson, of Ellijay, Jerri and Terri Baker, of Ellijay, Teresa and Dwight Fox, of Rydal, and Pam and Brian Struzzieri, of Ellijay; 19 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022,  from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Summey and the Rev. Reggie Nation officiating.

Interment was in the Yukon Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Brian Struzzieri, Ely Ruiz, Lee Ledford, Damien Baker, Johnathan Baker and Wil Baker.

Honorary pallbearers were John Norton, Terri Baker, Dwight Fox, Hunter Nation and Jerry Nicholson.

Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
