Mildred Jean Green Ellington

Mrs. Mildred Jean Green Ellington, 75, of Ellijay, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, at Gilmer Parkside Nursing Home.

She was born May 4, 1947, in Blue Ridge to the late Albert Green and Maddie Queen Green. She was retired from Goldkist Poultry.

She is survived by husband, James “Jimmy” Ellington; sons, Douglas Truman (Kyria) Hyde, James H. (Jennifer) Ellington III, and Jackie (Amie) Ellington, all of Ellijay; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Russell Hood officiating.

Music was by C.J. and Marie Ellington.

Interment was in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dylan Ellington, C.J. Ellington, Matt Esparza, Jeff Ellington, Mark Aaron and Rosier Wingate.
