Melinda B. Edwards

Ms. Melinda B. Edwards, 67, of Ellijay, died Monday, Oct. 31, 2022. She was born April 7, 1955, in Atlanta to George Battles and Beatrice Strickland Battles.

She was a homemaker who loved her family and dogs dearly and always had a warm smile.

She is survived by husband, Richard L. Edwards; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Megan Edwards; daughter, Staci Edwards; brothers, Buddy Battles and Bryan Battles; grandchildren, Bryn Edwards, Keaghan Edwards and Bella Edwards, and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held for family and friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, at Bernhardt Funeral Home.

The family respectfully asks that no food nor flowers be brought to the funeral home.
