Mr. Lyndon Guinn Loudermilk, 61, of Ellijay, went home to be with the Lord  Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at his residence.

He was born in Ducktown, Tenn., to the late Max Loudermilk and Eleanor (Bearfield) Long. He was of the Baptist faith and owned and operated his own trucking company for over 30 years.

He went by the nickname “Buttermilk.”

He is preceded in death by father, Max; grandparents, Clint and Elsie Loudermilk, and George and Irene Bearfield.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022, from Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Turtletown, with the Rev. Doug Howard officiating.

Interment was in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Brandon Long, Cody Dubois, Jason Loudermilk, Eric Bradburn, Doug Cheek, Randall Wilcox, Carl Franklin and Clayton Wilson.

Honorary pallbearers were William Bearfield, Bud Bearfield, Mark Loudermilk, Russ Loudermilk, Eddie Loudermilk, Bruce Loudermilk, Darin Pickett, David McFarland, Mark Carter, David Stiles, Terry John, Sam Radford, Israel Campbell, Bill Bearfield, Billy Bradburn and Stewart McClure.

He is survived by mother, Eleanor Long, of Ellijay; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Trisha Loudermilk, Eric and Janet Long, all of Ellijay; nephew, Brandon and Tiffany Long; nieces, Lauren and Cody Dubois and Karli Loudermilk; great-nephews, Westin and Graham Dubois, Tyson Long; great-niece, Mackenzie Long, all of Ellijay; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
