Mr. Kenneth Lee Teague, 81, of Ellijay, died Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Northside Cherokee Hospital.

He was born July 26, 1940, in Gilmer County, to the late Sherman Teague and Verla Mae Plumley Teague.

He worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation in the Engineering Department, and was a member of Oak Hill Independent Church.

He enjoyed traveling with his family in a motor home. They traveled to all 50 states and loved traveling out west. He loved feeding and watching his birds.

He is survived by wife, Cathy Teague, of Ellijay; sister, Shirley Bramlette, of Cleveland; nephew, Michael (Lynn) Bramlette, of Cleveland; great-nephew, Michael (Shelby) Bramlette; great-great niece, Emery Bramlette; stepsons and daughters-in-law, Mitchell and Leslie Dooley, of Corpus Christi, Texas, Jeff and Debbi Dooley, of Ellijay, and Hal and Donna Dooley, of Jasper; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Gwyn Dooley and Gale and Marvin Patterson, all of Ellijay; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2022, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Henson and the Rev. Edward Ledford officiating.

Interment was in the Yukon Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jeff Dooley, Michael Bramlette, Mike Cantrell, Hal Dooley, Rex Jones and Matt Jones.

Honorary pallbearers were Ernie Yana, David Elliott, Grady Crooke, Bobby Lanning, James Henson, Donald DeHart, Jerry Farist and David Fricks.
