Johnnie Mae McClanahan, 85, went home to the Lord Saturday, April 18, 2020, at a hospital in Macon.

She was born Sept. 25, 1934, in Little Rock, Ark., to the late John William Mills and Stella Mae Bingham Mills.

She married Barron Eugene Morgan in Little Rock, Ark., in 1952 and they had three sons, Jimmie Lee, Steven Joe “Steve” Michael Wayne, and one daughter, Brenda Dell.

She divorced Barron Eugene in 1958 and married Walter Wade Willis in Los Angeles, Calif., in 1958. They had one son, Ronny Wade, and two daughters, Linda Mae and Elizabeth “Ellen.”

Walter passed in 1975 and she married Jerry Donald McClanahan in Ellenwood, in 1990. They had no children.

She is preceded in death by husbands, Barron Eugene Morgan, 1974, Walter Wade Willis, 1975, and Jerry Donald McClanahan, 2005; sons, Jimmy Lee Morgan, 1960, and Michael Wayne Morgan, 2011;  daughter, Brenda Dell Morgan, 1954; half-brothers, Roy Mills, 1976, and CJ Mills, 1945, killed in World War II; half-sister, Martha June Mills 1994; grandchildren, Megan Laine Ostler, 1987 and Stephen Jay Willis, 2010.

She is survived by children, Steve Morgan and wife, Cathy Renae Martin, of Griffin, Ronny Wade Willis and wife, Julie Jay Sneed, of Stockbridge; daughters, Linda Mae Willis and husband, David Lee Johns, of Stockbridge, and Elizabeth Ellen Willis and husband, Jose Ramon Ostler, of Texas; grandchildren, Wade Eugene Morgan and wife, Kristy Leigh Carden, Becky Mae Morgan and husband, Devin Harlow, Marsha Marie Morgan; grandchildren, James Sims Willis, Walter Wade Willis, Ronny Wade Willis III, Conrad Ramon Ostler, Nina Nicole Ostler; and great-grandchildren, Evan Nathaniel Morgan, James Ramon Ostler, Caroline Elizabeth Harlow and John Timothy Harlow.

She retired in 1996 from JC Penney Outlet Warehouse in Forest Park. She loved the Lord and enjoyed her church fellowship. She also loved her family for staying close to one another. She enjoyed gardening and her rescued dog, Lucky. She will be greatly missed by all.

Memorial services will be held at noon Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020, in the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Rubin Smith officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery.
