Joe K. Greenway
Mr. Joe K. Greenway, 72, of Dalton, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016.
He was born April 20, 1943, in Fannin County to the late William Clarence and Lucy Buchanan Greenway. He was a retired truck driver, member of the Mt. Gillian Baptist Church and was a veteran serving with the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
He is preceded in death by son, Ricky Greenway; brothers, John Greenway and Mark Greenway.
He is survived by wife, Jeanette Greenway; son and daughter, Geary Lynn and Ginger Greenway Sr.; daughter, Norma Ridley; stepchildren, Gary Robling, of Caldwell, Idaho, Don and Angie Cantrell, of Texas, Charlie and Paula Hollis, of Houston, Texas; brothers and sister-in-law, Eddie and Etta Ruth Greenway, Gary and Randy Greenway; sisters and brother-in-law, Janice and Danny Nicholson and Anita Greenway Long; and 21 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy O’Tinger and the Rev. Joe Baker officiating.
Music was by Dwight Sanford and Annette Gross.
Pallbearers were Dwight Sanford, Roger Greenway, Geary Greenway Jr., Randy Harrison, Stanley Greenway and Robert Flowers.
Interment followed in the Yukon Cemetery with military rites by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
