Jerry D. DeBoard

Mr. Jerry D. DeBoard, 70, of Ellijay, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019.

He was born May 4, 1949, in Gilmer County, to the late Ernest and Reathel Stover DeBoard. He was employed by the Sisson Company as a truck driver.

He is survived by brothers, Joey DeBoard and Johnny DeBoard, both of Ellijay; sisters, Ruby Sellers and Jearldean Conner, both of Ellijay; fiancée; Kathy West; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Stover and Pastor Wendell Stover officiating. 

Pallbearers were Adam DeBoard, Bryce DeBoard, Chad DeBoard, Daniel DeBoard, Curtis Stover and Junior Teague.

Honorary pallbearers were Mack Aaron, Dr. Ed Stover, Jim Sisson, Charlie Sisson, Bruce Sisson, Josh Mull, Hoke Aaron, Ernie Stover and Ronnie Herndon. 

Interment was in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
