James Carl ‘Jimmy’ Sales

Mr. James Carl “Jimmy” Sales, 60, of Ellijay, died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020, from complications of Covid-19.

He was born Aug. 10, 1960, to Jerry Hill Sales and the late Marjorie Defoor Sales. He was a graduate of Gilmer High School, class of 1978, a member of Gates Chapel United Methodist Church and was employed by Georgia Carpet Finishers in Chatsworth.

He is survived by father, Hill Sales, of Ellijay; sister and brother-in-law, Rhesa and J.W. Chastain, of Cherry Log; girlfriend, Bea Keener, of
Chatsworth and several aunts and uncles.  

A private graveside service was held at Gates Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Kim Ellis officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gates Chapel U.M.C.  in care of Mrs. Evelyn Hammontree, 5311 Gates Chapel Rd., Ellijay, GA 30540.

Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
