Gregorio Landaverde Resendiz

Mr. Gregorio Landaverde Resendiz, 80, of Ellijay, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019.

He was born Nov. 17, 1939, in Huilotla, Mexico, to the late Alejandro Landaverde and Angelina Resendiz. He worked in farming and was a member of Good Samaritan Catholic Church.

He is preceded in death by wife, Mari Cruz Resendiz; sister, Sofia Landaverde; and brother, Domingo Landaverde.

He is survived by son, Maximino Landaverde, of Ellijay; daughter, Bertolda Landaverde, of Ellijay; sisters, Maria Landaverde Casas, Narcisa Landaverde Resendiz, Josefa Landaverde Resendiz and Saturnina Landaverde Resendiz, all of Mexico; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A mass of Christian burial was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2019, at Good Samaritan Catholic Church with Father Carlos Vargas officiating. 

The body will be returned to Mexico for burial.

Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
