Gary Waldon Beaver

Mr. Gary Waldon Beaver, 83, of Acworth, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2022.

He grew up in Ellijay and graduated from Gilmer County High School in 1957.  He loved working on and fixing clocks, and he loved cars and animals. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Acworth.

He is preceded in death by wife, Linda Parks Beaver.

He is survived by son, Kevin (Amy) Beaver; and daughter, Tina (Kelly) Thompson, both of Acworth; grandchildren, Taylor (Jarrett) Thompson, Ansley Brackett, Sidney Thompson, Garrett Beaver and Mary Beaver; great-grandchildren, Hayes Thompson and Emory Thompson; sisters, Judy Gibbs, of Johns Creek and Diane Call, of Calhoun.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19, 2022, in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home with Minister Butch Jones officiating.

Interment was in the VanZandt Cemetery in Blue Ridge.

Collins Funeral Home in Acworth was in charge of arrangements.
