Eugene ‘Gene’ Goss Aaron Jr.

Mr. Eugene “Gene” Goss Aaron Jr, 71, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

He was born Jan. 18, 1951, in Chattanooga, Tenn., to the late Eugene Goss Sr. and Betty Sue (Fairbanks) Aaron.

He was a member of Salem Baptist Church of Ellijay and served honorably as a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corp.

He is survived by wife, Cheryl Denine (Mervyn) Aaron; daughter, Barbara and Bobby Coker, of Jasper; son, Eugene Goss Aaron III, of Ellijay; sister, Debbie and Jerry Parks, of Ellijay, grandchildren, Jacob Coker, Hailey Buckles, Dalton Coker, Breanna Coker, Gracie Coker; great-grandchildren, Damyien Coker, Parker Coker, Kairi Buckles, and nieces and nephews survive.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022, at the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with the Rev. Daniel Reeves and the North Georgia Honor Guard officiating.
