Mrs. Ethel Elizabeth Watson Miller, 93, died Friday, May 27, 2022, at home in Cherry Log, following a lengthy illness.

She was born April 21, 1929, in Fannin County and lived most of her adult life in Cherry Log. She loved her church and taught Sunday school for several years to children at Rock Creek Baptist Church.

One of 11 siblings, she is survived by two brothers, R.C. and L.C. Watson.

She was the loving wife of Hyman Miller, former postmaster in Cherry Log, to whom she was married for 67 years, producing a rather large family tree with three children and daughter/sons-in-law, Leroy and Elizabeth Miller, of Jefferson; Wanda and Glen Williamson, of Snellville; and Linda and Dwayne Davenport of Cherry Log; grandchildren, Karen Wiley, Rebecca Simpson, Melody Fox, Clay Williamson, Emily Roper and Shelly Davenport; great-grandchildren: Sharon Giannone, Richard Villeneuve, Elle Williamson, Murphy Williamson and Elijah Roper; and great-great-grandchildren, Adeline and Jackson Villeneuve.

She was an accomplished seamstress, enjoyed growing flowers and gardening, and while she was not cooking or canning her garden products, she excelled when knitting and crocheting many artistic pieces.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Bernhardt Funeral Home with Tony Gilbert officiating.

Visitation and viewing will begin at noon. A brief graveside service will be held at Rock Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Cherry Log.
