Estle W. Clayton
Mr. Estle W. Clayton, 76, of Ellijay, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2017.
He was born March 27, 1941, in Gilmer County to the late Willie Clayton and Pearl Mooney Oxford. He was retired from Lockheed Corp., was a member of Tickanetley Primitive Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and camping.
He is preceded in death by brother, Raymond Clayton.
He is survived by wife, Janice Clayton; son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. Chris and Lisa Chastain, of Ellijay; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherrie and Greg Wiggins, of Loganville, Stacie and Thomas Sweatman, of Dahlonega, Regina and Carl Hill, of Ellijay, Vickie and Steve McDonald, of Little Rock, Ark., Jami Dupree, of Ellijay; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Roy Clayton, of Talking Rock; and sister; Joyce Lord, of Ellijay.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Elder Kelly Smith, Brother Bill Campbell and Elder Paul Mooney officiating.
Music was by Tickanetley and Blue Ridge Primitive Baptist Church singers, led by Paul Mooney Jr.
Pallbearers were Kai Rich, Josh Hill, Carl Hill, Greg Wiggins, Thomas Sweatman and Jordan Sanford.
Interment was in the Tickanetley Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
