Earl S. Sharples Jr.
Mr. Earl S. Sharples Jr., 62, of Talking Rock, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2016.
He was born Nov. 24, 1953, in New Jersey, to the late Earl S. Sr. and Clara Elizabeth Marshall Sharples. He was a high school graduate, served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division, was employed by Daniel and Lawson Pest Control and was a member of the Harvest Missionary Church.
He is survived by wife, Loretta Richards Sharples; daughter, Grace Emmaline Sharples; stepsons, Kevin Richards and Joseph Sanford; five stepgrandchildren, Nolan Rymer, Kelsie Sanford, Alexas Sanford, Ryder Charles, Payton Wilson; sister, Donna Carrier, of Orlando, Fla., Beth Greene, of Tyler, Texas, Tina Schosnig, of West Palm Beach, Fla., brother, Jack Sharples, of Manchester, Tenn.; mother-in-law, Ruth Richards, of Talking Rock; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Eaton officiating.
Music was by Teresa Chastain.
Pallbearers were Kevin Richards, Joseph Sanford, Tim Goswick, Billy Goswick, Derek Key, Lenn Richards and George Richards.
Interment was in the Yukon Cemetery with military honors by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Bagpipes were played by Scott King.
Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
