Dill Dover Beavers

Mr. Dill Dover Beavers, 85, of Chatsworth, died Sunday, June 17, 2018, in Honolulu, Hawaii.

He attended Gates Chapel United Methodist Church in Ellijay. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and  was retired from Roadway Express with 2 million safe-driving miles.

He enjoyed fishing, John Wayne and western movies and loved wearing aloha shirts.

He is preceded in death by parents, Grady and Hattie Beavers; sisters, Thelma Isenhower and Grethel Monette.

He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Scott Harvey, of Honolulu, Hawaii; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery and Marlene Beavers, of McDonough; special friend, Emily Cockburn; and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2018, in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Brad Biggerstaff and the Rev. George Ross officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Chatsworth Heights Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion Post 167 of Chatsworth.

The family will receive friends Monday, July 23, 2018, from 4-8 p.m. at Peeples Funeral Home.
