Clarence Waldo Wheeler

Mr. Clarence Waldo Wheeler, 71, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 16, 1950, in Gilmer County, to the late Clifford Wheeler and Pearle Hollifield Wheeler. He was employed by the Shaw Textile Mill and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by wife, Sara Lynn Bramlett Wheeler.

He is survived by sons, John Bramlett and Billy Roy Wheeler, both of Ellijay; daughters, Vivian Gayton, of Ellijay, and Teresa Elaine Garrett, of Dawsonville; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, 2022, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Pat Shelton, the Rev. Chris Garrett and the Rev. Tony Holtzclaw officiating.

Interment was in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
