Andrew ‘Andy’ Keener

Mr. Andrew “Andy” Keener, 62, of Ellijay, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2020.

He was born July 14, 1957, in Gilmer County, to Lorene Mullins Keener and the late Alvin Keener. He was a retired truck driver with Lance Trucking and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. 

He is preceded in death by son, Robbie Keener; and sisters, Linda Nicholson and Barbara Strickland.

He is survived by wife, Rita Griffin Keener; sons and daughters-in-law, Adam and Abagail Keener, Matthew and Amanda Keener; mother,  Lorene Keener; sister, Lisa Kell, all of Ellijay; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitchell Pack and the Rev. David Nicholson officiating. 

Music was by the Liberty Baptist Church Choir. 

Pallbearers were Nathaniel Keener, Joseph Keener, Nicholas Chadwick, Devin Keener, Steven Findley and Jerimiah Findley. 

Interment was in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
