Alexis Marie Sluder

Ms. Alexis Marie Sluder, 16, of Ellijay, died Saturday, Aug.  27, 2022, at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton.

She was born Sept. 18, 2005, in Whitfield County, to Shawn Ricky Curtis and Melanie Hogan Sluder.

She was a student at Gilmer High School and enjoyed playing softball and being in beauty pageants.

She is preceded in death by grandmother, Marie Mulkey.

She is survived by father and stepmother, Ricky and Jill Curtis; mother, Melanie Hogan Sluder and Pops, Keith Davidson; second mother, Paige Griggs; brothers, Kyle (Hannah) Sluder, Kain Sluder, Jaren Curtis, Jaxon Curtis, Mason Hampton and Gavin Hampton; sister, Carly Deboard; aunts, Michelle Bowers, Sherrry Tutton, Annah Hogan, Amber Sherbert, Shay Wright, Kim Land; special cousin, Katie Bower; grandparents, Grayland and Delilah “Dee” Boudreax, Steve and Martha Kitchens, Melvin and Glenda Davis; grandfather, Terry Hogan; and numerous friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Fields officiating.

Interment was in the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Kyle Sluder, Kain Sluder, Jaren Curtis, Thaddeus Bowers, Gabe Tutton, Lexie Reid, Chikoa Ramey and Billy Davis.

Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
