Mrs. Edna Davis Henson
Mrs. Edna Davis Henson, 83, of Ellijay, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017.
She was born May 8, 1934, in Cherokee, N.C., to the late John and Julia Allen Davis. She worked in the textile industry and was a member of Turniptown Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by husband, George Edward Henson; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Virginia Henson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter and Edith Davis, Grady and Violet Davis, Clyde and Nellie Davis; sisters and brothers-in-law: Loretta and Charlie Ware, Ann and James Ray, Myrtle and Paul Adams and Bessie and Charles Lovingood.
She is survived by children and spouses, Steve and Juanita Henson, Sharon and the Rev. Ricky Brown, Martha and Billy Best, Alex and Karen Henson, all of Ellijay; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, from Turniptown Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Jones, the Rev. Michael Smith, the Rev. Ricky Brown and Brother Chris Henson officiating.
Music was by the church choir and Randy and Trish Dyer.
Pallbearers were Kyle Henson, Chris Henson, Tim Henson, Michael Henson, Eric Carney and Mitch Stanley.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
