Mrs. Lily Rymer McGill
Mrs. Lily Rymer McGill, 87, of Chatsworth, died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017.
She was of the Baptist faith, loved the music of Elvis Presley, and worked Bent & Wiggly puzzles till the end.
She is preceded in death by parents, John and Leaner Rymer; husband, Dewey “Dude” McGill; infant daughter, Mary Jane McGill; and numerous brothers and sisters.
She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Fred and Frances McGill, of Ellijay and Tony McGill, of Chatsworth; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Lynn Langley, Joyce and Jerry Foxx, and Vernett and Richard Young, all of Chatsworth; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lena and Doug Walker, of Eton, Charlsie and Bud Walker, of Crandall, and Jewell and James Nichols, of Ramhurst; sisters-in-law and their husbands, Rachel and Fred Shultz, of Dalton, Essie and Gary Casper, of Alabama, and Betty McGill, of Chatsworth; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. McGill’s family extends its sincere thanks to Homestead Hospice for the excellent care they provided.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with her son, Fred McGill, officiating.
Interment followed at Holly Creek Cemetery.
