Mrs. Agatha Beasley Edmondson
Mrs. Agatha Beasley Edmondson, 81, of Ellijay, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2017.
She was born Dec. 21, 1935, in Gilmer County to the late Fred H. and Minnie Lou Clayton Beasley. She worked in the textile industry, was a homemaker, worked on the family poultry farm and was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking and spending time with her family, which usually included her making most everyone’s favorite — homemade banana pudding.
She is preceded in death by husband, J.L. Edmonson; grandson, Cameron Green; great-grandson, Mack Mullinax; and brother, Jack Beasley.
She is survived by children, Elaine and Walt Cannon, Tim Edmondson and Diane and Donald DeHart, all of Ellijay; sister, Denise and Richard Patterson, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. David Havice officiating.
Pallbearers were Scott McCord, Caleb Green, Brian Byrd, Chris Davis, Nathaniel Davis, Noah Davis and Joey DeHart.
Interment was in the Yukon Cemetery.
