Refinery, pipeline closures felt here

Prices for a gallon of regular unleaded were in the $2.65-$2.70 range over Labor Day weekend following refinery shutdowns and the temporary closure of crucial oil and gas pipelines in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. As of Monday, service had been restored to Colonial Pipeline’s line 2 between Houston, Texas, and Lake Charles, La., while line 1 service from Houston to Lake Charles was scheduled to resume Tuesday. Of the 26 refineries that connect to the Colonial system, 13 are located between Houston and Lake Charles, according to media updates provided by the fuel company.
