A wild ride down South Main
This Jeep Cherokee traveling southbound on South Main Street during the early evening of June 13 crossed the road, jumped a curb and began to careen down the kudzu-filled embankment above the Coosawattee River beside the Citgo, Georgia State Patrol Trooper Josh Hedden said at the scene. He reported the female driver complained her back was hurting, and two children — boys ages 7 and 9 — did not appear to be seriously injured. An EMT working the wreck said the vehicle came to rest against a tree, which crushed the rear end but kept it from going into the river. All three in the vehicle were taken to Piedmont Mountainside.
