Light Up Ellijay this Friday

The Yuletide event presented by the Downtown Ellijay Business and Community Association will start at noon Friday, Nov. 24, with a vendor market set up along Broad Street and live music by Matty Croxton and the Austin Zackary Band in front of the Watkins House between 1 and 5:30 p.m. The tree lighting will start at 5:30 p.m., followed by a “Whoville” parade through downtown at 6 p.m. Visits and photos with Santa Claus will take place on the square between 6:30 and 9 p.m. Small Business Saturday follows on Nov. 25 with Whoville decorations downtown and a vendors market on Broad Street until 5 p.m.
