"They were just not respectable-looking guys, walking up and down the road at night without any flashlights"...dear diary: since when do you have to have flashlights to walk at night?

You just never know any more. Flashlights or no flashlights it would be unnerving having goobers walking up and down the road all hours of the night when normal folks are sleeping. This is classic meth head behavior. Thank God for good police work.

Most respectable people carry flashlights in their vehicles for emergencies at night. That is, unless you have something to hide and don't want to be seen.
